Our Products
CHEMTEC offers Reverse Osmosis Electro-Deionization (RO-EDI) systems with more economical, modern, package type modular solution adjoining with world class branded manufactories.
Unlike traditional ion exchange resin systems, Ionpure®, SnowPure®, GE® EDI cells do not require chemical regeneration. All models of EDI modules provide ultrapure product water operate by utilizing an electro-regeneration mode whereas, resins are continuously regenerated by H + and OH- ions released during the electrical dissociation of water molecules.
Additional pre-filtration, pre-RO and secondary RO treatment steps may be added as required to suit EDI feed water quality for best performance. Products are available as skid mounted or containerized systems.

Electro-deionization (EDI) utilizes electricity, ion exchange membranes and resin to deionize water and separate impurities from water. It differs from other conventional systems as it is done without chemical treatments and is usually a polishing treatment to reverse osmosis (RO).
As the water passes through the ion exchange resins that are packed between the cation and anion selective membranes, the charged ions migrate to the reject stream under the force of electric field.
Electrochemical reaction occurs at the lower end of the purified water stream which generates H+ and OH ions for ion resin regeneration.
EDI is used for high purity and ultrapure applications, including High pressure boiler feed makeup water, Pharmaceutical industry etc., where required product resistivity is ≥ 5MΩ. EDI typically follows a single or double pass reverse osmosis system (RO).
A chemical-free, self-regenerating technology used to provide a consistent flow of high-quality deionized water.
CEDI is a water treatment process that uses a combination of ion-exchange resins, ion-exchange membranes and direct current to continuously deionize water without the need for chemicals. CEDI technology avoids using chemicals, helps to reduce the systems’ operating and maintenance costs and improves your bottom line.
